I have 3 kidneys!

Hi, I found out I have 3 full size functioning kidneys 16 years ago when I was pregnant w/ my 5th baby. But I guess I'm the odd one out, mine are on my right side. Don't know why it wasn't noticed w/ any of the other sonograms. I've never had any real heal problems but as of 3 years ago I have high blood pressure & bad headaches. I am 47

Hello, I'm 25 years old and I also just found out I have three kidneys. Two on the left (one on top of the other but not attached)with two ureters and one on my right with a ureter. I had kidney infections and stones removed when I was 16 years old. I also have digestive problems and wonder if my third kidney is putting pressure on my gall bladder. I haven't been tested for reflux and I assume all kidneys work as the doctor didn't say otherwise. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one with issues.

I Was hopsitalized yesterday for U.T.I. . I told the Doctor (urologist) that I have 3 kidneys. He said there is no such thing. He said that one of the 2 kidneys had an extra tube going to the bladder but it was not a 3rd kidne

i found out i have three kidneys when i was eleven years old. all three are fully functional. i'm now 27 and perfectly healthy. you'll be fine!

I have three kidneys...as does my mother grandmother sister and most of the females in my family. All of us have had normal pregnancies with no complications and all babies have been normal...well excerpt that some of them also have three kidneys.

i also have three kidneys there is no any health problem till this day its gift of GOD so we have to be happy for our extra kidney .

My daughter was born with this flux condition. And a the shortening of the ureters She lived on antibiotics the first three years of her life. Dr Deshmik in Stephenville TX did her surgery. He did a fabulous job!!

I'm a 35 year old female, and just found out yesterday that I too have 3 kidneys...kind of threw me for a loop, but okay. I have an extra kidney on my left side, and one normal on my right. Been having recent left side discomfort, so when I went for a Ct scan, they found an extra kidney. No known problems present with this new-found organ. Ct scan was totally normal? Hummmm....I had a kidney stone while on this pregnant with my third child, but since ct/ X-Ray wasn't used, they didn't detect this extra kidney until now. So everyone, now that I'm part of this fun club, what do I have to look forward to?:/

Me too!! Suffer with pain from reflux frequently. Have been having it for years but only found out a few months ago (aged 28) about the existence of the third kidney and the source of the pain! Apparently the third kidney is very scarred from previous infections. Currently waiting for surgery to remove it....

I have three kidneys, I am a healthy 62 year old male. I found out I had three when they did an arteriogram on me. I was going to donate one to my 11 year old son. Who by the way, was born with one kidney. Anyways, I was in my 40s then and it came as a surprise when they told me i had three. as i said, i am now 62 and doing great.

I found out I had three kidneys when I was a little girl, I'm 43 now. I was just dianosed with pompe disease. A rare genetic disease.

I have 3 regular sized kidneys and two of them empty into the same 'tube' before it gets to my bladder. I was in so much pain when I was a kid! When I was 8, the doctor put a tube up into my body that stretched the main tube. It was a short procedure and, since then, I haven't felt a single pain :)

I'm 26 years old I have 3 kidney stew on my way if one of my ride lately I've been feeling really really bad , I don't know what else to do I'm in the bed now quad and good going to see what help I can get
