I have three functioning kidneys also. My kidneys "probably" saved my life when I had extreme heart failure back in the early 90s. I was told I would die without a heart transplant but I never went into any kind of renal (kidney) failure or shutdown. Contrary to medical belief at the time I got better from medicine alone.
