I am 18 years old and i have had my period for a little over 4 years now...
i have never had sex and i dont use any birth control... i have also never been to a gynocologist... i have been thinking about going but i live with my mom and i dont want to talk to her about... i'm kind of embarssed and she makes a big deal out of stuff like that (telling everyone and stuff, after i had had it for a while i just stopped telling her about it) anyway my periods (when i have them, i sometimes go 3-5 months without having them) last between 3-5 days (heavy the first two days and medium to light the last three days).
i dont know what to do... it kind of scares me because I'm hopeful that i will be able to have a baby evebtually (after marriage of course)
Help please!

I used to be exactly like that. I went to my gyno and he gave me YAZ.
My periods are now regular.
You can tell your mom that you want bc for regulatory reasons. Plus, whether or not you are sexually active, you should see a gyno when you turn 18--at least that's what my gyno told me.
Hope I've helped!!

but isnt YAZ for PMDD or is irregularity a symptom of PMDD?

Well, you don't have to specifically ask for YAZ and yes it used to treat PMDD.
There are many types of bc out there. You should schedule an appointment with your gyno. He/she can decide which is best for you.

Irregular periods in a 54 years old. Should I see a gynecologist if this continues?
