I have had sores

i have had this problem where the dr said it was muscus gland but nurse wrote on the paper saying lesions of the vulva raised area,,,, seems like right before i start i get these tender lumps / bumps in the gential area,,, they dont really itch,, most of the time i dont even know they are there untill i go to wipe and it hurts. any ideas? i went to the OBGYN yesterday the 29th and he said everything looked ok he took some swabs. but he wants me in cause i told him it happens right before i start and so he wants to do a pap before i start OMG i never had one of those,, he also wants to do the full exam ,,, what all do they do? and does it hurt ???? o.O
