I have hypertension. I used to take 2 drugs: a betabloker and clonidine. I am traveling, and ran out of the betabloker. Currently I only take clonidine. For a week now my blood preasure goes down one hour after I take clonidine, but it goes back up after 8-9 hours. I was told that I have rebound hypertention now, and I was wondering for how long will I have this effect. When it is not rebound hypertention anymore, caused by the sudden withdrawal from the betabloker. i am asking this because my blood preassure is lower now then before stopping the betabloker, but, as I said, after 8-9 hours increases substantialy.
I have rebound hypertension.
