I'v had my Mirena in for 4.5 years. I had minor complications in the beginning like: super painful cramps, longer menstrual period and the feeling of being pregnant just to name a few. Now here I am 4.5 years later and I'm having some new symptoms. I miss my period, the 1st since I've had it put in. I noticed I have constipation. I feel nauseous In the morning and late nights. I'm having pain during intercourse and during, my partner says something was scratching his penis. After sex and a shower we examined his penis and there were visible scratches (2) on his penis. He has never felt my strings, not even in the beginning (which is thought to be more noticeable because they're new). I'm so lost and confused. Afraid to go to the doctor because I don't want to find out I'm pregnant. What do I do? Don't need anymore kids, have two 8 and 5. Abortion is not an option, that's why I got the IUD, and he doesn't want any more kids. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Trying to push it in the back of my mind and pretend the symptoms are not happening.
