I noticed that semen flows out of my vagina immediately after intercourse, when my husband pulls out. It flows down my vagina. I am afraid that this might affect my chances of conceiving. Is this normal or are we not doing it the right way?

This perfectly normal. It should not affect your pregnancy chances, however if you want to ensure you keep the maximum semen deep inside you, have sex in the missionary position and place a pill under your hips / backside to keep the vagina elevated so the sperm are gravity fed back to your cervix.
Also when you husband cums, have him drive his penis as deep inside you as he can to ensure the cum is ejaculated at the entrance to cervix.
