Hi! I am 32 years old women. I don’t have children. I want to have children. I had some health problems and my gynecologist ordered hysterectomy. He thinks that is best solution for me. If I decide to have hysterectomy, I can’t stay pregnant. What should I do? This is very difficult decision for me.

Hi! I had similar problem. Finally I went to another doctor. That help me a lot. Before you make decision you should hear second opinion. It would be much easier for you to made right decision. Good lack!

I know how you feel. My doctor ordered one for me at age 27 years old. he told me the same thing. he gave me a dead line of a year. I feel like i made the wrong decision, and I would agree get a second appion if you can. I regret having mine, and i feel i would hve been fine if i waited longer to have it done. Everyone to this day (now 31) tells me why so young, there are other options, but at that time he was only giving me one. I hope you get the answer you want, and hope your health allows you to at least have one child before going through with the operation.

You not only need to get more opinions, you need to look at the situation from all levels.

Obviously, this is a complex situation. You are already pregnant and now you not only have to think about the physical tolls on your health, but the emotional ones; too!! And the physical toll on your unborn baby.

You need to start asking yourself how you are going to emotionally live with the devestation of losing your unborn baby?

Remember that doctors don't know for sure you can't get through the pregnancy & still have your physical health. The best thing you can do for yourself is to take the time to SOUL SEARCH.

Nobody but nobody can just tell you what you should do, so I'm definately not going to try to!!

It really depends on what health problems you are having. But I would say that you've been left with very little information on your situation and without reasons why alternatives aren't right for you... which would make me point a finger at your doctor and ask why he didn't explain things to you in more detail.

There are alternatives and you need to explore them, so you have two choices, you can go back to your doctor and drill him for information, you NEED to know WHY the alternatives won't work for YOU! OR you can seek the opinion of another doctor, you may want to do this anyway if you can't get a satisfying answer out of your current doctor. It is unusual for a doctor to go straight to a hysterectomy without looking into the alternatives. So, maybe your situation calls for it, or maybe your doctor is lazy? I recommend you find out!
