Some people don't have insurance, or don't have the extra to pay co pays to be going to specialists. I used to not have insurance and the only time I got to see a doctor was in an emergency situation. So I know what it is like to have to deal with things the best you can on your own. So danmg, back off the attitude about go to doctor okay?

I hear you. Some people don't have insurance to help them and the medicine to 100% stop all side effects (i.e. something like Suboxone) is expensive. I found a primary care doctor that also just happened to be a addition doctor. They are out there and they might not take insurance but the visit is worth it.

Your doctor can rule out more serious ailments, but Probiotics can help the intestines by increasing good bacteria. To relax overnight, melatonin, starting at 1mg a half hour before bed helps too.

42 per day....way too much. Imodium is good short term and not in that high of a dose, people have died from ingesting high amounts of opiates in attempts for it to cross the blood brain barrier. Imodium is a powerful opiate, just doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, we'll there are ways but again typically outcomes are death a lot of times. i started Imodium 362 days ago to quit heroin. Only recently been trying to get off the Imodium and it sucks. It's like a heroin wd but only 25% as bas. 25% still sucks when your shaking, sick, Drenched in sweat, can't sleep, etc.. My best advice for anyone reading this is goto a Dr. If that don't work go to another. May take you a few Dr's to figure it what's going on but better you start now then postponing what you'll eventually need to do anyway. another option is perhaps kratom, still binds to the receptors, but without the narcotic feeling. 1-2g (research proper dosage your self, Im writing this from memory) gives you energy like a coffee wt out the jitters. 3-5g relaxs you, gets rid of pain, also makes hard core opiate wds bareable, if it helps wt that it probably would for lopermide / Imodium. Actually gonna order some now. Some states it's illegal, all my research points to it being safe, there is a lot of fake info out there on it, mostly by dea or other drug prevention groups. Some years ago kratom was banned in Thailand as the government controlled the opiate supply for meds, patients started to switch to kratom as it helped wt their symptoms without the negative side effects of prescription or now rc (research chemical) opiates. Government loses money so they made it illegal. Same thing is happening out here in usa. Can't have drug companies lose money. Let's make up fake info to spread and have it banned. In short, kratom will help some people wt opiate or Imodium wds. Just google kratom and opiate wd for more info

You don't know what you are talking about. Your body can become physically addicted to a drug even if it doesn't give you a high by crossing the BBB. anything you take that alters your body's natural abilities can cause some form of withdraw when you stop taking the med. (example: if u use artificial tears your eyes will stop making its own tears and stopping the artificial tears will cause your eyes to have a withdrawal to the tears until you get ur own natural abilities back. ...this can happen with any drug)

I take Kratom daily. You must have Kratom that's not that potent. I've been taking Bali Kratom for the euphoric effects which does produce an opiate like high. Also, what does 'wt' mean? You kept typing that in your statement. Also, immodioum does cross the blood brain barrier in high amounts. I used to eat 96-100 pills at a time. Never died but was hell to get off of. Best bet, check yourself in to detox. You may have to use heroin or an opiate pill like oxy, vicodin, etc. to get into detox but it's worth it to save your own life.

It does cross the blood brain barrier. When you're taking 96-100 pills all at once everyday, you get very high but the withdrawals are worse than heroin. If you think it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, you have to stop reading stuff on the internet like Wikipedia and do the research yourself to see what it feel like to take that many.

It DOES cross the blood brain barrier. Stop researching immodioum on the internet at sites like Wikipedia and others that say it doesn't. Once you've reached 96-100 pills at a time everyday, you will feel high and the withdrawals are worse than heroin. Do your own research and see how you feel at that limit.

Plus, getting high off something can easily become addictive right off the bat if you're an addict yourself and love the instant gratification feeling. From an opiate addicts point of view, who wouldn't want to feel that way every day?

No joke 48 is nothing. I take 200 daily. And on some days i have doubled that dose. Ive decided its time to stop and im 8 days in and everything is still raging. No relief yet. I got hooked on these because i used them to get off heroin which worked great but then turned i think into almost a worse problem.
