Hello, my name is Brittany...I had a gorder removed about three years ago, unfortunately I am a smoker...and I smoke alot. I don't really want to get into the whole feeling of having to have surgery where they removed half of my thyroid gland, but I just recently got my medicade back and will be going to the doctor soon. I have been worried for the past three weeks because of this inflammation feeling under my jaw on the side where half of it was taken out. I know smoking is bad but also before my surgery the other cysts and gorder (the one growing) caused my hormones to go crazy and I mean crazy ! So I had and still have problems with not having my period...under so much stress. It caused me to have another desease caused hintuism (excessive male hormones) Other words unwanted hair, acne, etc. I fell in love didn't believe anyone could love me with my scar and secrets and stressed even more smoking, now im here worried about this and wondering if anyone could help me out with experience or something...you probably wont believe me but when I say your just gonna stand there and watch me burn...I love the way you lie, I MEAN IT! :!: :!: :!: Please someone, daylight I've lost sight :!: :!: :!:

Being a smoker is bad after any surgery, some swelling is normal, your period can be off cycle after any surgery because of the shock to your body, I too had surgery had my whole thyroid removed, one very large, doc called it a grapefruit removed from one side and found several small lumps on back of other side. my neck is stiff and sore, doc said this is normal he gave me a 3 page print out after surgery of what to expect, I had to go have some blood drained that pooled in behind the incision, some of it came back, but not as quickly as before. I wish you luck and hope this helped
