Hey Guest318

There's not much you can do to improve your height. It's simply determined by genetics. If you're wondering how tall you may be, look at both of your parents. You've got half your DNA from each so it should provide you an estimate of height. My dad is 5'11 and my mom 5'2. I ended up right in the middle at 5'7. My brother ended up at 5'11. There's a lot of factors that affect height in your genetic makeup, but your parent's heights will provide a reasonable estimate of your own.

As for increasing your vertical jump height, building muscle will help. But HOW you train the muscle is more important than the amount of muscle you build! Leg press machines and squats will help you build muscle, but wont exactly help you perform better on the basketball court. One of the most important principles in training is SPECIFICITY; that means if you're wanting to improve your vertical jump, you've got to do jump training! The more you practice jumping the better you'll get at it. Skipping is also a very valuable source for improving your vertical jump! the rapid and continuous movement improves the recruitment and firing of muscles. I would recommend 5-10 minutes of skipping after each practice and see how that begins to affect your vertical jump performance. If you have any other questions or want more specific means of jump training feel free to message me.

Hope this helps

cheers.
