Hi,
im 16 years old and i think I have some kind of infection on my genitals but i'm not sure since i'm not doctor and know very little about skin problems. I have allot of small pimple like bumps located around the middle of my penis going down to the balls. These "pimples" (not sure if they are pimples) do not look reddish like most pimples. I also found very small hairs located on these bumps. These bumps would are just small enough that you can not squeeze them which many other teenage have mentioned doing that seemed to have the same problem as me. the bumps on my balls are a little more obvious to see that they have hair sticking out of them and look extremely similar to the problematic bumps that are occurring above them. The bumps also do not have a specific color maybe a little whitish but they still maintain allot of the my skin color. I have not had sexual intercourse so its no STDs.

If you see hairs in them then they are likely hair follicles, normal. Sometimes they can become inflamed, it's called folliculitis. Basically, the follicles become irritated. Normal bacteria on your skin then gets into the opening around them and causes an infection.
It's important for you to wash the area thoroughly and dry it. As best you can, keep the area clean and dry. This is a common condition and if it continues you may need antibiotics to treat it.

is it still hair follicles if there are allot of bumps? Most of them are located in the middle area.
