Ingrown hair on the testicles?

I felt an itch on my testicles earlier this week and when I felt down there, I felt a bump. I looked at it and noticed it had a white head, and my girlfriend checked it out and said that it looked like an ingrown hair. Today I looked at it and took a needle and swabbed it with rubbing alcohol and removed the white head, and then proceeded to squeezing it. Once I did that, a bunch of pus came out followed by blood. It isn't a blinding pain, but it does have a pain to it. My girlfriend still thinks it's an ingrown hair that possibly got infected, so I used more alcohol once I drained the pus out. What do you think?
