Hello. I think I am not some very serious medical case, but I would like to get some informations which I could use.
I am 46 years old and I work in one engineering company and I can say that my job has been very stressful lately because we are working on some very important and expensive projects.
All this affected me and affected my sleep. About two months ago I almost stopped sleeping at all. I only sleep two or three hours at night and all day I feel fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and irritability.
So, this got me worried because I have heard something about disease called insomnia and I was wondering could this be my diagnosis.
I'm also interested in possible treatment.

I know something about this disease because my wife has been diagnosed with it about five years ago.
Insomnia is the most common sleep complaint. People with insomnia have these symptoms: difficulty falling asleep, waking up often during the night and having trouble going back to sleep or waking up too early in the morning.
It is very difficult to determine does person suffer from sleep disorder that is connected to some other disease (primary insomnia), or sleep problems because of something else, such as a health condition such as depression, heartburn, cancer, asthma, arthritis or any pain.
If you are suffering from primary type than your health care provider may prescribe sleeping pills for a limited time.
