Hi, about 12 years ago I was diagnosed with TMJ and had a splint fitted which got rid of it. The symptoms I had were pain in my shoulder and radiating down one arm, but no headache.

For the last few weeks, I have had a pressure which moves around my head, but which does not go away. It is not a headache, but has been getting me down big style. Blood tests have come back negative.

Now my original TMJ pain, in my shoulder and down my arm, has come back. I have put my splint back in and it seems to be easing. But I am wondering if the pressure in my head, which is still there, could be caused by TMJ.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Could very well be. I have been a sufferer of TMJ for years due to a car accident when i was a teenager. I have headaches all the time and the doctor suggests surgery, nope, no surgery for me. You would be surprised what TMJ can do to you over a period of time. I thought it was migraines, which still may be, but the doctor leans more towards the TMJ issue. I take Advil and when it gets real bad i use hot compress and sort of rotate it around my jaw, it will feel better but not for to long. I have a splint as well, but it makes me gag.
I threw my shoulder out a few years back and was given percocet, i totally forgot about the TMJ, lol. But i refuse to take a controlled medication on a long term basis, to much of that stuff in the fam already, so i just make the best of it.
But yes, i think he pressure in your head could be a throw back from the TMJ. IMO.
