This reply may be quite late but for anyome who does read this question and the answer I must disagree as I am an atheist I do not believe God holds the power to give or take life I believe that it is the mothers decision and she might want to abort for proper reasons such as welfare for the child and the financial state into which it may be born though to some this may seem better than not living but I do not wholly agree. In the end it should come down to lots of thinking and discussion between mother father and perhaps doctor but ultimately it should be the mother's decision as she is the person who has the 9 month ordeal and them life long journey of parent hood and perhaps if she is not ready than the baby should be aborted for both their sakes

As always if a child is not wanted, and an the thought or choice of abortion is not either.... if possible then consider safe sex, there is a higher chance it eliminates such problems.

Right.... But how many? In recorded history how many of the reported rapes actually resulted in inpregnated women. The human body... especially the female body goes into a hightened level of fear when this happens. Usually with that much stress & fear will in many cases prevent pregnancy as the brain is in fight or flight mode... In a life theatening situation, the brain is screaming run or fight, and is likely not in balance to procreate in any way. Of course the choice is always hers... Research is simply encouraged to help make the best decision possible.

Hi.. My sis been raped on 14th May this year. I'm not sure about her symptoms since I'm a guy. She's 19 and we still live with our parents. And now on 21st May shes craving for so much food and she look a bit ill plus her tummy came out a li ( is it normal ). I asked her for any sickness and she said none. She planned for abortion but we still don't know if she really pregnant or not. Any method guys? Or some advice? She really need it. I'm only 14 and i really really hope that i can help her :(

That's a tough situation to be in at 14. I think the best thing you can do to help is just be there for her and listen to any feelings she might want to share. Hopefully you have parents or family that can get involved and have a positive perspective on the long term effects of either choice. If she was treated aggressively which is often the case in rape victims, there is a good chance her egg rejected any sperm... And she may now be suffering from post traumatic or moderate to high stress. There might be a fetus trying to take form, but chances are slim if agression or fear played a dominant role. If she thinks she is however... Then the best early proof of that is always an ob/gyn. If she is she has to decided what she wants to do, either keep & continue to develop the baby like it was 50% hers regardless of the circumstance, or if that is impossible then choose otherwise. It may be from a horrible incident, but how do you suppose that child will feel if they are born grow up and learn one day their mother was raped, but so courageous enough to let them be born anyway. The respect they would have for life in general would likely be profound. They may turn out to contribute to the world in a unique way one day... Like a well known speaker, coach, or be a President. I'm not in the least discrediting her choice.... But in the end, it's her choices that for the most part write her story. Always think twice when you can only choose once!
