It appears as if I have the same thing! It's a bean sized lump at the bottom of my right tonsil. It doesn't hurt at all it just looks gross. However, I also have small red bumps on the back of my throat and those have been there for quite some time. I also wake up with small rashes that quickly go away. I also get fevers about once a month. This has been going on for about four months now and I have not seen a doctor. Should I go?

So I know this is an old post but I have the same type lump near tonsil, no sore throat, just found it by poking around. ENT said it is nothing to worry about but did not say what it was. How did you make out

I had small pimple near tonsil - diagnosed as a cyst. ENT said not concerned, but recommended removal. Had it removed and cauterised. If anyone has same, go to GP as better safe than sorry.

Did you go back after 6 weeks again? Curios, My wife has the exact same problem in her throat. Very worried it could be cancer.

i had a sore throat with a lump that was swollen and had a white dot in the middle about 10 days ago. i went to urgent care after 5 days since i didn't feel sick but my throat was still sore w the lump. he sent me to ENT and he said it looked to be a tonsil stone. i had my tonsils out when i was 22 cept the id**t missed the front left side so that is where i always get sore throats (2-3 times a year). the ENT wants to remove the remainder of the tonsils. said he doubts it's cancer but wants to do a biopsy just in case. google tonsil stones as it sounds like what some of you have. don't ever play doctor on your own though since if it is cancer you want to get it looked at as soon as possible

This is totally normal. It's your tonsils purpose being fulfilled. It's cleaning your lymph system and pushing out the icky stuff. It's probably been happening your whole life and you just noticed. Hope you are better by now.

I had this same problem. I had my tonsils removed 2 years ago. About 10 months ago I could feel a small lump with my tongue behind the skin on the left side of where my tonsils use to be. But when I looked I couldn't see anything. A couple months passed and I could feel the lump getting bigger and it felt like it was trying to protrude out of my throats but still couldn't see anything, it was starting to make me cough a bit as well as get irritated more when I would eat. I made an appointment with the doctor thinking it was tonsil stones ( but usually with my tonsil stones I was able to pick out myself with my tongue and they also have a very potent odour so didn't think that was the case ) or worried that it was something more serious. She told me she couldn't see anything and that my lymph nodes weren't swollen (obviously, I told her the lump was behind my skin and I could only feel it). She told me to wait a few months and come back if it gets worse / bigger. Fast forward to a 3 months ago, I could now see the white lump protruding through my skin. Because I have such a long tongue I'm able to touch the lump and would Always try to suck / push it out with my mouth / tongue. I've been doing that since I could feel the lump at the begging. I started getting very worried to the point of feeling sick because it was only getting bigger and I was worried it was some type of throat or thyroid cancer. Anyways, I've been looking up other people's stories all weekend and planning to make a doctors app this week but yesterday I was eating a sandwich and I could feel the lump feeling almost sharp and now poking through my skin. I went to look in the mirror and it was poking half way out . I pushed it a bit with my tongue and it popped / drained out. Im not sure if it was maybe a tonsil cyst that I ended up draining myself because of how much i would always be touching it. Or of within a few months whatever that was will grow back. I just wanted to write my experience incase this ends up happening to anyone else.

Got something similar to your complaint my GP and consultant say nothing sinister will be removed under local anaesthetic I blame it on tooth decay. Hope all's well with you.

Usually white lumps occur with lieukemia. Swelling is nothing sinister but I'm having mine removed as out patient.
