For the past 7 months I've had an irregular period consisting of heavier flow and lasting about a week. Mentral cramps have always been unpleasant since i was a teen. Which isnt my main consern, but may be an important factor. I was treated for a yeast infection but still have occasional itching (no discharge) because I had burning and pain during intercourse. As well as sharp pain over my left ovary. And at least 2x a week I feel a sudden nausea come on. Usually at night, now it's coming more frequent and in the middle of the day. Im only 27 and have no children. Im concerned if this will affect me having children if it is, in fact, endometreosis. Any advise or knowledge on my symptoms would be greatly appreciated.

It’s very difficult without expert analysis to say that you have Endometriosis symptoms. But you’re right, the endometriosis may reduce the chances of a woman getting pregnant.
My suggestion is to talk to your OB/GYN so he/she could get the right diagnosis from your current symptoms. Most common test are ultrasound test or MRI so they could make an image of your current pain area. If they suspect endometriosis, they will suggest you laparoscopy. This is the best way to find out if you have it or not. This is a surgery with general anesthesia in which a tube with a light is placed inside your abdomen.
Anyway, there is no cure for endometriosis. But there are many treatments such Pain Medication, Hormone Treatment, Surgery or alternative medicine (acupuncture, homeopathy, etc) too cure it but it is long time treatment.
My sister has this and she’s fighting with this several years.

hi i am 18 and have been battling this for three years now. in my case i hurt all the time but it really gets bad around period time. it has gotten so bad that i have been hospitalized for the pain. i have also quareled with my highschool because they thought i was lying about what i go through when a flare comes on. they believed that if they cant see the injury then youre well enough to go to school. i wasnt able to go on senior trip or prom because i had missed so much school. the thing is, i had the medical documentation and everything but they still didnt let me. i home schooled my last nine weeks of school and i still graduated fourth in my class. i know that in my case its genetic because my mother had it and my grandmother had it but they didnt have it as bad as i do. more than likely i wont be able to have children because my aunt( mothers sister) cant either. i souldnt worry about it because im only 18and im in college but it will always be my little question to my self. will i be able to have children?
I am sorry to hear about your problem. It is a hard question for an 18-year-old to be wondering about.
Did you mother and grandmother have any problems conceiving?
Do you take the painkillers during these pain attacks or did you try any of the possible treatments?
I heard that many women undergo acupuncture or aromatherapy and find it helpful.

The only thing I can do is relate. The pain I get some months is so painful I feel like I need to call 911. I'm almost 40 now and lately (these past few years) it's gotten worse. I get physically sick from the pain. Go see a doctor now. I am going to myself. I actually cramp about 2 to 3 weeks out of a month and pray I don't get a bad period. I have been unable to have a baby and I feel it does have an emotional hold on me. I hate the fact that I have to take pills for this pain, but it is bad. No one could possibly know this pain unless they have it.

I am 28 years old. I have had endometreosis for 11 years. I had many problems getting a doctor to take me serious. When i was 17 I had serious pain on my right side of my stomach. It was so bad that I was rushed to the doctor and they had sergery set up to take my apendex. Then they sent me home saying it was in my head. I then got married. I had awful pain during intercourse. I ended up in tears many days. ( thank god I have the most understanding husband) My period were crazy painful and never on time. I went to the doctor and they switched me from birth control to birth control. I went off the pill. Then after 3 years of that. I went to a specialist. He put me through test after test. ( from MRI, colonoscopy, to you name it I had it) He then decided to do a Laporoscopy. He took a biopsy and told me everything was fine. But we would most likely not be able to have children. My husband and I accepted it. I went and through my life into teaching and just gave up on the dream of having a baby. Then 2 years later I got pregant I moved to a different state when I was 6 months preg. and then I found out that the doctor that did the surgery had found a lot of endometreosis. He just did not want to tell me I guess. Since then I have been through hormones, shots in my belly, another laporoscopy, and the pain is worse than ever. i have not been able to get preg. and we are deiciding on how to make a decision to have hystorectomy. I dont want to but I am in so much pain. I hate this stuff. I hope someone can find a cure. I want you all to know that you can have a baby, just dont give up. I hope this helps someone.
