Had a TIA stroke 12/14/2009. Am on crestor, plavix, and 81 g aspirin. Have lost 26 pounds since TIA stroke. Am down to 81 pounds and the weight is still coming off. Am a small person, 5' tall, and never was overweight, but now I'm very, very skinny. My appetite is good; my nutrition is good; my diet is healthy (no empty calories, no sugar, no salt). Am concerned.

81 pounds, that's serious. Have you talked to your doctor about your weight loss? I don't know if this is related to your transient ischemic attack but it is definitely something that requires a medical attention. I read that weight loss is a complication of advanced cardiovascular or lung diseases, such as congestive heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Abnormalities of your body's endocrine system, which regulates hormones and affects several body functions, can cause weight loss as well. You need to see your doctor. Take care.
