It is too soon to take any sort of test?

hello I am new to this forum but im hoping somebody could give me some advice. I had been off of any sort of birth control for almost 1 year due to being single however over the past couple of months i have began a new relationship. planning ahead (or at least thinking I was being sensible) I went to the docs for a supply of the pill (cilest) and started taking it, however after day one of taking it and a few too many cocktails we ended up getting carried away and having unprotected sex... I am now on day ten of the pill so it is too soon to take any sort of test (i think?!) but I have been having some early pregnancy type symptoms. I have had cramps in my lower abdomen for a few days and my breasts are really tender and sore. I know these are also side effects which can be associated with the pill though so have no idea if I could be pregnant.. although when I have taken  cilest previously I cant remember having any sort of cramping! Im really worried, but if I am pregnant when can I do a test? and should I continue to take the pill meantime or could it harm the potential baby?

Hi, please try not to worry when you get the next box of pills keep the leaflet inside it gives side effects for you to check. Our bodies are always changing as we grow older so how a medication/pill affected you a few months or years ago could easily change. l have never been on cilest but part of the side effects l found online were: water retention, breast pain, painful periods, back pain, nausea, stomach pain. All symptoms that could make you feel pregnant, you weren't protected until day 7 on this pill and you can only take the morning after pill up to 5 days after unprotected sex so l would advise you take a pregnancy test....and yes l am in a similar situation to yourself. You can take a pregnancy sensitive test 14days after unprotected sex they are more expensive to buy so if you cannot afford the early warning ones wait another week or see your Dr, good luck hun.

you can take a test as early as 2wks after you had sex,
im 17wks preganat and before i found out i would have cramps and i just thought it was because my period was coming and it was because im pregnant:))
