I've been getting shots in my hip for over a year and have a horrific headache every time. They last 2-3 days. I've started taking Tylenol every 4 hours a day prior to my injection.  They headaches do not seem as intense.  I also had a knee injection and naturally dreaded the headache, which never came!  I think it must have something to do with the amount of medicine used.
