Hello, folks. I have heard about legionnaire disease and how it is caused by bacterium called Legionella. I have read somewhere that there is some relation between these bacteria and air conditioners, but I am not sure whether this is true. I would appreciate if someone could verify me this. Thanks.

Hello. Legionella is indeed responsible for legionnaire disease. This is a bacterium that lives in air conditioners. That is why there lies danger if these conditioners are not checked. This disease usually appears when one is breathing air that contains water with these bacteria. This mist may come not only from air conditioners, but also from hot tubs or showers. It does not spread from one person to another. I think this is good news. I hope this helped. Bye!
