I have been prescribed Lexapro for depression and GAD by my general pract. I also see an OB/Gyn for excessively heavy and painful periods. He prescribed Yaz, saying that he also thought it would help my PMDD. So do I take them together or should I try one at a time? If one doesn't help should I try the other?
Did you tell your dr. that your are on YAZ?
I take Seasonal and Lexapro. My gyn did not put me on YAZ when he put me on Lexapro. With saying that, I was only on 10mg for a week then moved to 20mg. I am on a higher dose than most people. My seasonal gives me a period every 3 months and it is the only thing that helps with my migranes and headaches from pms.

I have been on Yaz and Lexapro from almost a year now. I started on Yaz first for severe mood swings on almost every other BC. Then I was put on Lexapro for depression. I have had little side effects from them. I have put on some extra weight about 15 pounds but my eating habits have always been extremely poor. As far as the sexual side effects there are none for me. My doctor told me that Lexapro has the least amount of side effects. I was a little dizzy at first but after the first week i was good to go. Lexapro has helped me a lot my only concern at this point is the withdrawl side effects that i have read about. I know some day soon i will have to wean off of Lexapro and the shocks in your head i heard about are very frightening. Hoep this ehlps :-)
