I have prescribed with lexopra by psychiatric for my condition. I have mood swings but I am mostly depressed. But lexopra helps me a lot. After three months of taking it I am feeling much better. But my doctor thinks that I should continue taking it. I am worried because I have heard that lexopra affecting brain chemicals. What do you think?
Lexopra does affect your brain chemicals by increasing the available supply of serotonin, substance that affects the mood. Depression can be caused by imbalance of brain chemicals. Your doctor is right. You should continue taking lexopra because if you stop taking it the symptoms can return. He will tell you when is the best time to stop taking it.
