This is my first pregnancy and right at 5 weeks I had some brown discharge after peeing. The next day it was darker red and slightly heavier (although much less than a period) I don't even have a doctor picked out yet. Is this a normal part of early pregnancy??

Hi Guest,

Some bleeding is normal during early pregnancy. Brown/dark red is older blood. If you have any heavy bleeding or it is bright red then see your doctor ASAP.

You need to see an ob/gyn for prenatal care now. Make an appointment.
