I am 21 yrs old, and my period should have stoped about 2 weeks ago. The main problem of it has as if my period was over. I do not need to wear pads or tampons but when I wipe I am seeing a light colored pinkish blood and it has a foul odor to it.. can anyone please help. It has been like this for a almost 2 weeks maybe.

yeah this is happening to me too, except that i got mine a week early and it has been two weeks and i am still bleeding. it smells bad and that's never happened before. I switched from the pill to the patch at the beginning of the month so i thought that might be why i got my period early but it doesn't explain the awful smell.

Bloody discharge between periods always deserves your concern, unless you are on the pill. The fact that you mention that this light bleeding also causes a foul odor is particularly worrisome, mind you. I get the impression that you probably have some kind of infection. Rarely, it's also possible that something is stuck in your vagina, such as a condom or something, and that you haven't noticed. This can also lead to an infection and very smelly discharge.
Anyway, it's time to see your doctor, hun. The symptoms you are seeing are not healthy or normal and you need to know what can be done about them!

I have the same thing. I think the odor more than likley coming from a bacterial infection if it has a discharge usually it's a yeast infection. I cant explain the bleeding because my period came on about two weeks ago but now im spotting at least three days now. Im on the pill and I never seen this happen before as far as the bleeding and also cramping as if my period is on again, it's to the point I have to wear a pad.

I had light bleeding after my period as well as a foul odor. I went to the doctor and had a tampon stuck. Very embarrassing but easily taken care of. I did not need any antibiotics just needed to take it out.

I was searching the internet for an answer to my problem and realized that this post was exactly what I had going on! I was freaking out when I started reading WebMDs answers and found this post. The woman who posted the answer about a tampon that was lodged is a God-send. I thought about my issue, and very awkwardly decided to "feel around" for a lodged tampon. It was there.... and I was horrified! I was able to take care of it myself, but I wanted to thank the forum for posting and responding. I thought I was dying of Cancer or something dreadful! Yes, it's a little embarrassing, but at the same time, I'm glad that you all posted here so that we all can benefit. Thank you!! I feel much better.

OMG, I am so glad I came across this forum. I was searching the internet high and low for an answer to the stench that was coming from down there all of a sudden after my period ended. Even my dog kept sniffing me, lol. The smell was horrifying and I had never smelled anything like that and Ive had yeast and BV numerous time through out my life. Anyway after reading the last message i was sitting in the tub thinking omg, what if this is my issue, so i then started to feel around also, and managed to come across what I thought felt like a string way up there. Wow, so I ended up pulling out a tampon also. WTF!!! I have never forgotten a tampon ever, and Im 29 yrs old. Lesson learned!! Ladies, before you panic and run to the Dr. make sure you do a self exam quickly to rule out something so simple. All I can do now is sit back and laugh!

I've never heard such a thing, but I searched and found that I did have one lodged!!! I am incredibly shaken up by it because I don't want that to harm me, but my goodness... Thank you for sharing information ladies, because it really has helped me!

So shocked!!! I had exactly the same symptoms... Brownish light bleeding after my period and a really horrid smell... Even the dogs sniffing around me. I'm 42 and thought there was NO WAY it was a tampon. After reading all your comments I thought I'd just check and OMG I couldn't believe it. A tampon was logged deep inside me! Whoever said check before you panic and rush to the doctor is right!!! I feel so relieved (even though it was shocking and horrid) thanks ladies... I can sleep tonight.

Ditto, I'm 38 and thought seriously did I forget to take one out!? I have two young children and attribute this first time incident after over 20 years of never forgetting to take them out, MOMnesia! Thank goodness I was able to get it out pretty quickly on my own after realizing that's what the problem might be.

OMG thank you thank you thank you. I was freKing out because the last two times my husband and I were together I would start bleeding and the smell was unreal. I read all the comments about A lodged tampon and OMG I had one lodged too! I'm 45 and it has never happened to me before. I am completely freaked and relieved. I'll never wear tampons again.
