i'm not really sure where to start but basically I have had to get up 2 or 3 times while lying in bed (before sleep) to urinate for the last 10 years (24 y/o to 34y/o). i used to have irritable bowel syndrome and all the doctors i saw back then said it was probably related so don't worry. it has never really worried me till my penis started getting red and irritated a few months ago and i had one bout of blood in my semen. ever since then i have been worried and i think back now to times especially after drinking alcohol when its really irritating to urinate to the point of pain. i also have tingling in the testes - but recently had an ultrasound there - all clear. i have also had heart palpitations but have had a check up there too. occasionally i notice a light headed feeling if i can't get to the toilet too. i have also noticed at night i get really tired and sometimes fall asleep on th ecouch - never happened until the last year. i am the fittest i have ever been and run 5 km most days. running is the best i feel all day. i love it.
i do have a few anxiety issues and feel like i take on symptoms after reading about them. not quite sure what to do. i have an appointment with a urologist in a 3 weeks. just wondering if anyone else has had similar.

Hi there! All of the additional symptoms like heart palpitations, lightheadedness, tiredness, etc are probably related to either your general anxiety or the stress because of these, not so pleasant urinary tract problems.
Have you ever had your prostate checked? Some of your symptoms remind me of my husbands before he was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis symptoms. First he had some problems urinating, burning, frequency, urinary hesitancy, sometimes blood in the urine but when he was diagnosed with it , then he started experiencing sexual problems as well, but I couldn’t realize if they were more emotional then physical.
He started having painful erections, painful ejaculations and there were even moments when there was total lack of libido.
It took him quite some time to come into turns with the disease and for antibiotics to start working, so that he would feel better. He also made some changes with his nutrition, and after (quite a lot) of time, things started to get better.
I reckon your urologist will be able to determine what your problem may be.
