I have recently been feeling unmotivated. I had some niggling injures last year which slowed me down and was very busy with university and work. I have also been travelling a lot over the past few months and it looks like I will hve to move interstate which is a big change and leaving my coach, I havent told him yet and I havent felt like running.

I always wanted to compete at a high level - that is my dream. But I get busy and tired and dont achieve my goals. I dont want to give up on my dream though.

Now I am 28, I am scared my time is over for competing at a high level and wonder if I need to accept that - which in return would help me to become a happier runner and person again.

It is very hard to do three things perfectly at the same time. With studying and working, you often feel tired and not so up to running. To compete at high levels, you would need a lot of effort on that one thing alone.

See what your priorities are and focus and that one thing and do the others along the way but accept the fact that you may not be as successful in those side activities.

When I turned 28 I also lost my motivation for many things but you have to stay focused and move on.
