I recently(3 weeks ago) went to the gynochologist because i had 2 bumps under the skin. She said it was most likely inflammed hair follicles, and to use neosporin. I have been, and they are still there. Only now i have may surface lumps right around where my hair starts on the lips. It itches. Sometimes i use neosporin, and it itches less. It also itches a little bit internally. Do i have an infection, or senstive skin, or is it possible i caught an STD between the time i went to the gyno and now

The thing is that inflamed hair follicles tend to itch real bad, especially if there is a bacterial inflammations. Bacterial infections (I am talking about hair follicles here not STD because I don’t think it is an STD) also go away on their own but sometimes they may need a little bit of help from some antibiotics. I don’t know if Neosporin is the right antibiotic since they are not leaving.
Don’t pick the bump because the irritation and inflammation could spread when bacteria is present.
I would suggest you to see a dermatologist, they know much better regarding bump on the skin although this is a genital area. This is what I learned from personal experience. I have to say that gynecologist often have no clue about the skin conditions although present in genital area and a dermatologist usually recognizes the thing just by listening or seeing. I would always get prescribed just the thing from a dermatologist.
