My 13 year old occassionally gets a sore throat . Whenever he does have a sore throat, the symptons are his throat hurts when he swallows the first day or two, along with a very loud barking cough he has it at the moment as well. The coughing is really loud. I dont take him to the gp for this problem anymore because he isnt prescribed anything for it just the usual advice of plenty fluids and paracetomol.

This problem is becoming very frequent now its all year round, he may get better this week and will be fine for about 5-6 weeks sometimes a little longer. Why does this keep happening he is a fit and healthy teenager.
