This happens to me once in a while but I think its because of stress. When it happens it makes me feel like I'm not myself. We all have stress but there has been nothing earth shattering to me that could cause this kind of stress.

Hi, I've had an eye twitch on the right lower eyelid for about a month now. I don't know why it has started, I'm only fourteen. I eat about 3-4 pieces of fruit and veg a day, I don't think I'm stressed although I can be sometimes. I do have to use the computer a lot for homework and I try my best to get enough sleep. Is that the case? Not having enough sleep and staring at a bright screen a lot? I think I might try asking my opticians tomorrow, this is really bothering me now.

If you wear contact lenses/have dry eyes that could be the case as well. It's sometimes caused by wrong prescription.

Mine began three weeks ago,  after 3 weeks I have been having the worst eye allergies ever.. never did before

the lower eye twitching stopped but the itchness and allergies live on...

Chromlyn drops will help cure the allergies... and so I hope :)

It has begun recently wth my right eye. The lower lid. I decided to look at the innervation of the lid. It stems from the Trigeminal nerve path. Had a good spill on my mtn bike a few days back, jaw had a good knock. I began to think perhaps that the irritation/perhaps inflamation of that area in turn affcted the nerve path hence affecting the eyelid. Been massaging the jaw area, seems to be subsiding. In general though, perhaps stress for some may create this referal...does anyone grind thier teeth (perhaps in sleep)? Even steming as far back as the spinal column, maybe an adjutment from the chirocracker would help...?

Over the years once in awhile my lower left eye starts twitching. I believe the main cause in my case is stress and pressure. While taking a antidepressant to quit smoking which worked my eye twltch disappeared. Then just recently a health issue and stress at work my eye started up again. I asked the doctor for a light antidepressant which I took for about 6 weeks. The twitching faded away. Since then when it starts up I analyze what stress I'm under and deal with it accordingly. It goes away. The older I get I find the less stress and pressure I can take. So take it easy!

I have lower left eye twitches and I have been grabbing my lower eyelid ... lifting off the eyeball ... and moving it around. I feel dryness is the culprit. Dryness caused by stress or dehydration or poor nutrition or smoking pot or bar-be-que etc... whst do you think

Possibly try to cut down your time on electronics like computers, smart phones, ect. I have the same problem as you and it seems that if I spend less time in front of a screen my eye would twitch less often. Maybe try out that method?

i also have the same kind of problem i think its because of my habit these past few days i wake up then wash my face with water maybe its the reason why my lower eyelid is twitching.
