For the past three days, I have had the feeling that there is something stuck in my esophagus, right where your sternum is, whenever I swallow. I have also been swallowing air every single time a swallow, then it builds up in my stomach until I feel like barfing and finally a burb and feel midly relieved. Could air cause the lump feeling, like a bubble of air moving down just like a piece of food? What causes you to swallow air everytime?

I was up the entire night due to this and have not been able to go to school, I really need any assistance you can offer.
