Hi Sophie
It’s so nice to hear this (although not nice for you!!) I’ve had this exsact same problem for 3/4 years now and in so much pain with it I have had the lump cut out three times now! (Two open surgery one key whole) the lump goes away temporarily but then grows back twice as big! My last operation was a month ago and already I’m in double
The pain with a huge new lump! Your are right exercise does trigger the pain but I have to work through it as one I’m not giving it up and two I’m a personal trainer and gym owner! Hence why I keep having it taken out! I have since read more about it and it’s common with surgery likely to grow back bigger!! I’m fine running and cycling etc but and thing where I’m straining or using my core it hurts! abs are a no go! It keeps me awake at night cause when I roll over or sit up it hurts. I can only
Describe it as a red raw rubbing pain! Hurts to touch or even closing the car
Boot, we don’t realise how much we use are core in everyday life!
So you can have it removed but I’m advising
Against this! I’m not sure
Where I go from here, I keep saying I’m just going to have to life with the pain! But as I said it’s getting really bad day by day! Mine too is worse leading up
And I’m my cycle! And also coughing etc kills! Very frustrating! Vicki xx

Hello I was wondering if you could tell me what the doctors said it is? I have been having this for 3 years and have had 2 ultrasounds and was told it was scar tissue, they pushed it off. When I first found out I had this I did not know it was even there, now the whole left side of my stomach sticks out causing pain all around my hip and left back lower.
I also experience hardness, soreness, and pain under my 14 year old C-section. My doctor said it could be scar tissue. It's very frustrating to say the least
I went to a general surgen and he removed it. He didn't see it through laproscopy so he cut the old incision and there it was! It was filled with nasty stuff. I feel like a million bucks!
Hi there - i am reading this thread for the first time and just read your note! Can i ask if you have had the Tummy Tuck and scar removal already? i am feeling the same way about the sausage sized lump above my 3 x CSetion scar!! i get shooting pains burning sensation - painful intercourse and general discomfort..
I would love to hear from you if you are ok to share?? ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of private information such as name, phone number or email address is not allowed in order to protect your privacy*** Please read our Terms of Use

Hi I know this was posted over a year ago but I had to reply as I have the exact same thing. I'm just over my 3rd op of removing a big lump of scar tissue from my c-section scar. My 1st op sept 2016, Nov 2017 & now March 2018. It's no joke and I to was gaining weight especially after Christmas so I started gym classes end of jan which triggered it off again. So 3rd time lucky but I've a feeling the scar tissue will be back. My surgeon said he has never seen anything like it before and he's never known scar tissue to grow so quick.
Get urself checked out get a 2nd opinion. I hope you have already and your sorted.

I have the same issue! I am 36 and 6 years out of my last c section. Noticed the lump not long after my last baby. Doctor said it was scar tissue and suggested I had another baby because they could remove it during another csection. Obviously after three kids and my tubes being tied already, I switched doctors. My new dr did an ultrasound and said same thing. Scar tissue. I have heard that it would grow back so I’m scared to have it removed and have just been dealing with it for years. Also causes me discomfort before and after my period. Very frustrating!
I’m having the same issue too and am supposed to be having surgery to remove it for the first time within a month. Now I’m wondering if it’s even worth it? I’m 35yo 3 years post c section. the Burning is awful :(
It’s actually superficial too like my skin overtop of where it is burns to touch lightly. They’re saying it’s a piece of endometrial tissue that was accidentally put in the incision. But the drs day it’s supposed to hurt when u have ur period. Mine hurts the worst when I’m ovulating and also with any intestinal issues, like if I eat a lot of carbs or have the runs. It’s gotten so much worse over the past 3 months. The pain is almost always there but worse at times. I’ve gained about 15 pounds within the past 3 years and wonder if that has somehinfn to do with it. I’m 5”8 and 145 pounds so I’m not really very overweight, just a little chunky

It’s me again...I thought it was worth mentioning that I read if it is endometrial tissue and it isn’t completely removed, it will grow bk. I wonder if that’s why so many people have it grow bk? Maybe the surgeons aren’t getting it all out?
I also have this... c section nearly 6 year ago on my 2nd.. the pain is unreal.. burning.. stabbing.. the lump have trippled in size.. its so bad i moan out loud.. its only when my period due and for around 8 days after.. no matter what i take it dont help.
hi dear ...i also have this type of lump....how much time did you take after for recovery after surgery
Soo what was it?
