Hi, a day ago i've noticed there is a lump on the outer side of my upper right gum. i compared it to my left side to make sure there is a lump. when i press on it with my tongue i can feel there is a slight pain, on par with pain you feel when you burned your mouth by hot coffee or something. So not really painful, but still a tangable sensation. The size of the lump is about 1cm in diameter and 1mm high. the color seems a bit off, but i can't tell. i also smoked for a year, smoking about 5 per day, but i quit about 2 weeks ago. still, this concerns me a lot and really scared that it might be cancer or something. i did some research and i dont think its cancer, but i'd like some opinion. i have a dentist's appt soon as well.
it has now been about 3 days, and an ulcer has developed at the highest point. is this cancer?
I have had a little lump on gums, must be about 1 cm in diameter now. It fell off, but came back about 6 months later as an ulcer looking thing. Can you tell me what it is, please?
