There is a big concern over access to clean water in California. The state faces its worst drought in recorded history. According to supplies in major reservoirs and many groundwater basins are well below average. Court ordered restrictions on water deliveries and they have reduced supplies from the two largest water systems. They are really worried that an outdated statewide water system can't keep up with population growth.

I actually used to live in California and it's a pretty bad situation there. A lot of people in the Southwest ignore water ristrictions thinking that there's no big deal and they waste a lot of water. If they don't start cracking down on people for wasting water and stop trying to have golf courses in the desert, there's going to be an even bigger problem!
