Hello,
I need advice. I know this is more female topic, but I have a problem. My nipple is enlarged and noticed this in the past month, before it was normal, I mean like the right one. I am really concerned and am not sure whether breast cancer can happen to men… my mother and also her sister had breast cancer, that was detected in early stage, so they are both cured … I know cancer is “hereditary”, so I am afraid I got one too, though I am a man.

Hello!
I am not sure whether men can get breast cancer… this is certainly more female disease… but then again… Enlarged nipple is definitely a breast cancer sign and it can be connected to some other diseases or could be caused by other things but cancer. I heard that emerging marks and marks that are uneven in shape are a sign of skin cancer… maybe this is the case. I think you should get your blood or other body fluids checked… and of course show the nipple to your doctor or better specialist. Something must be wrong if this happened in a period of a month … something must be a reason for enlargement… this is definitely worth of examination.
Good luck!

Dude you probably dont have to worry about it
im 15. im a guy.
when i was13-14 i noticed my nipple started hurting
and one was more enlarged
they started getting alitil bigger.
i asked my doctor.
she said its something certain guys get through puberty
and said it would go away
but i still have it and the other one even out with it
so now ther both puffy.
i hate it dude
and im trying to figure out how to get rid of it
but chances are its not cancer man
even tho guys can get breast cancer, but its a slimmer chance.

try not to worry about it just pay attention to it and talk to ur doctor.
thats wut im doing/.

the thing about doctors is that most of em are hesitant to mess with an adolescents endocrine system

chemically you can reduce the size of your gyno (thats what you have)

(its due to elevated estrogen levels)

something like letrozole, or arimidex can reduce or even eliminate recent gyno

go see an endocrinologist.

Hey im 21 and have this problem also its from puberty when all your hormones are changing in some men their female hormones will be more dominant than male. thing ive learned try to stay away from iron men dont need it as much as women. When you go to teh doctors and they tell you to do push ups tell them to ****!!! it dont do sh*t tryed doing push ups every day for almost a year. their are glands behind your nipples and they swell , which pushes your nipples out. and about the girls some think your frikkin weird and some dont, ive been married for a year and my wife loves me for who i am, and she understands. im going to get surgery done they are going to remove the lumps/glands behind my nipples 13-21 8 years ive delt with names and other stuff.

I have this same problem, one of nipples are larger than the other and I can feel like..knots and when I squeeze them or anything it hurts(both sides have knots). I've had this since I was like..13 years old and I'm 16 now. I'm always scared to take off my shirt because I don't know what people might say. I'm also afraid that girls might think I'm weird or something so I kind of try to avoid them. I just hope it goes away eventually and a few years back my doctor told me it was normal. Can anyone give me a word of advice or something?

im not a medical doctor by anymeans i do know a lil on this topic though it is very common for guys around the puberty age to get a nipple knot or two most of the time it goes away as they pass through puberty. however i have a buddy who still has them and hes 20 so its not uncommon. You can also have this problem if youve had your nipples pierce. The most common way i know how is if you take workout supplements as in pro hormones and etc. This can cause nipple knots because of the increase in estrogen. If u do take supplements i reccomend taking estrogen blockers and running the correct post cycles however i have suffered from this before and anyone else who has will say the same, its not worth it. It is both painful and pricey to get rid of. There are ways to get rid of nipple knots u can take estrogen blockers which sometimes can help or visit your doctor and the can treat u with estrogen blockers. The best way is to get them cut out, although it can cost more its worth it. What it is, is a gland which swells with the increase of estrogen after the gland is cut out you never have to worry about it again i know people who have taken this route before. Not sure if this helps anyone but best of luck to you. My best advice is to get checked out if you have these symptoms, and most importantly stay off pro hormones or any others supplements. Creatine and protein does great if taken correctly thats all a man needs.

I'm actually extremely relieved I'm 14 and i only take my shirt of and jump in water FAST cause the water is cold and i get goosebumps and they go away.... But yes I have had this problem for about a year... I'm also 14... I noticed it first when I was in a McDonald's in fact it was in Auburn, Alabama, me left one is bigger and It was hurting bad... took 8months before I even showed my mom. I was afraid to wear my old underarmour shirts and to wear my tight abercrombie shirts... my mom doesnt know what going on really she says its no big deal.. and shes only seen them once cause I should her...

It's a big blow to my and I'm sure yalls Self Esteem :-(
but just nice to know I'm not alone.. ya know?

Hey guys,
I am 29 years old now. I have had my left nipple enlarged since I was 13! So unfortunately I have had this affect me too! At some point I went to the doctor, I think I was 16, to ask if there was anything wrong with me. My doctor said I was perfectly fine and that it would eventually go away. Well, it never did. But it hasn't been a health concern. I am a very athletic individual and I love showing off my physique but I do and have always been very self concious of my 1 large nipple. Just wanted to comment and let you guys know that it is a normal and unfortunate symptom of puberty.
