So my story is I was taking 10 mg Percocets for about a year or so. The past 7-9 months slowly got worse. Just like every other story out there. I basically spent all my money on these d*%n things and my wife caught on and I had to be honest!! I had to work so I ended up getting some suboxones from a friend, actually 2 8mgs. I was getting all the pills off the street and had no script. Basically I wheaned myself down to about 5-6 10 mg percocets over a couple days and have had no percocets for 8 days. I began taking the subs 24 hours after my last percocet in 1/4s so about 2 mgs a day over 6 days. As of tonite it has been 2.5 days since my last sub and I feel half way decent! Not much sleep the past few days, but surprisingly not that bad!! My question for anyone out there is....if you have had an experience like this? Just wondering if I am gonna wake up tomorrow and feel like s*&t or am I maybe in the clear? I have read many comments on subs about the horrible withdrawals not coming for 48-72 hours later. Any opinions are welcomed and very much so appreciated. Good Luck to everyone out there struggling! Thanks!

In my opinion you're in the clear for the most part, although, I'd give it another day just to be sure.
I space my Suboxone out because if I don't then it does make me a little sick to my stomache. How much boxin I take varies on what all I've done the past few days though.
:-(I'm also struggling with some addictions of my own, if you couldn't tell already with what I said above.
I wish you the most luck!
Best Wishes!

My daughter started to get sick 4 hours after her last hit. She was in jail and suffered thru it as she obviously had no choice. She was a full blown IV heroin addict for many years, and is now celebrating her 14 month drug free. Anyways..... there is another young man here that has been drug free for 4 days, taking is last suboxone then. He feels pretty good so far, knock on wood. His "clean" date is July 25th.
Any sufferer that i have known usually go into withdrawls right away if they can't get their fix. My x son in law has been on suboxone for about a week now, but we all know if he stops the pills he will go to heroin again. Because you did the smart thing and slowly weaned yourself from this monkey on your back, you probably saved yourself from days of being sick. I hope that you beat it and i hope that you have avoided the miserable feeling of detoxing.
3 of my kids had problems growing up. One with alcohol (that's over) and the girls with drugs. The older one loved her pills and the younger one did every street drug under the sun, if i did not have her arrested when i did, i really think that she would not be here today, it was really just that bad.
So i commend you on your bravery and i compliment your wife for staying with you thru it. Many marraiges have been kicked to the curb because of a spouse being addicted to something.
Please let us know how your doing or just come back around to chat, about anything actually. If you feel weak or scared about the drug thing, log on, someone is always around to help.
Good luck.

Hey guys Thanks for the input! Felt pretty good today except for being exhausted, and a few stomach issues!! Nothing like the withdrawals I have felt in the past though from quitting cold turkey! Hoping it just gets better from here! Good luck Sea Siren and getting out to do things....even though hard, does really do wonders for your head! Also good luck to your children bb!! Addiction is a nasty thing and thankfully you are understanding and are doing your best to help them!! Good Job!! I am hoping this is it for me! I am going to start outpatient rehab early next week, and that may be a good idea for you siren!! Good Luck to all!!
