MORNING AFTER PILL does NOT END pregnancy! DO not take if you are pregnant.

hey can you please help me calm down? i took plan b an hour after sex, it was my first time too and he pulled out..the whole thing lasted 3 minutes..i got a light bleeding which was mostly brown with some clots lasted 4 days..i took the pill last day of my period so when should i expect my next period? i took a pregnancy test it said negative

Hi I am in rel need of help.very stressed.my story is I had unprotected sex the 16/01/2012.I took the morning after pill the 17/01/2012.My period was due the 29/01/2012.However I was really foolish and had unprotected sex with my partner again on this date29/01/2012.so got morning afterpilla second time.30/01/2012.Now it is 02/01/2012 and still no period,passing urine frequently and pain in lower back.I am so worried that I know could be pregnant and hoping it was from the second time as otherwise if I am I may have caused defects to baby by taking second pill.I did a pregnancy test today..17 days after first time of unprotected sex and its negative!does that mean if I am pregnant it is from the second encounter and if not what effect will the second pill have 2 weeks after conception.Please anybody with factual answers.

So I had unprotected sex without being on birth control on 03/29/12. However I went to Planned Parenthood on 04/02/12 and they gave me Ella, and a pregnancy test. However they said that it was too early to tell. Is there any way that I could still be pregnant? My period was supposed to begin on 03/28/12 but it still hasn't come. Please let me know

My experience with the morning after pill:

I took it twice within a month, which you should never do, ever.
1st pill: taken 6th of february. Had a normal period from the 15th-20th
2nd pill: taken 23rd of feb (stupid). Had a 2 day bleed from 3-5th of March.


Then no period for a while. Now i'm normally irregular and wouldn't have panicked but I started getting all the pregnancy symptoms. Extreme tiredness, sleepy all the time, extreme bloating (i looked pregnant, ma tummy was normally so flat!!!), weight gain, abdominal pain, getting irritated easily, headaches etc.....
I took about 5 pregnancy tests but they all came out negative.

All I could find online was that the pills knocked my hormones out of sync and that it could take months, maybe years to get it back.
Now i know a little bit about herbs and went to get MUIRA PUAMA capsules last week. I've used it before to balance my hormones and figured might as well try it.

It wasn't expensive (60 x 1000mg capsules for about 6euros).
I started taking 1 capsule a day on 13th of April in the morning (you have to take it early because it makes you really hyper & might not be able to sleep at night, so i took it as early as possible). I also added more fruits & veggies to my diet but I didn't really eat much different from before.

My bloating was gone the next day and my stomach went back to flat in two days and I got my period today (22nd April), back on my normal cycle before all this pill biznis. And all the new bigger size pants i bought on the 13th of April are now loose!!! I'm back to my old size.

so im 4 weeks pregnant. but i cannot afford an abortion. the main reason im wanting too take it is because 1 i cannot take care of another child mainly because my child who is almost 2 has so many medical problems as it is and needs my FULL attention. he cant walk roll over or anything. and he has 3 different therapist appoints a week. so can this pill in anyway cause a miscarriage? i know that sounds terrible but i cant afford an abortion.

Most information on line states that menstrual bleeding is a "possible side effect," this is not true, you bleed completely as if having a forced period 5 days after ingesting, which means a fertilized egg is being "flushed out."  I feel mislead by the language stating it prevents sperm from getting to egg via membrane thickening, that is misleading, the forced period is the way it prevents pregnancy so the only difference between this and abortion is at what point in the journey the embryo gets knocked out of the body.  I see over and over people writing about the bleeding, why does the product lable say it is a "possible" side effect.  How wretched. 

I had unprotected sex but he did not come inside of me. He pulled out way in advance but still I worry about pre-cum. I did not take plan b because i didnt have the money for it. I had sex 9 days later and the condom broke so i took next choice the next morning. But I don't know if I was pregnant from previous unprotected sex. What are the chances that I am pregnant? If I am, what did the next choice do to the developing fetus?

OK Icebreaker, I DID go to the planned parenthood website, and it contradicts you. It says it is NOT an abortion pill. And I quote:

"You might have also heard that the morning-after pill causes an abortion. But that's not true. The morning-after pill is not the abortion pill. Emergency contraception is birth control, not abortion."

Actually in the UK you are able too get the morning after pill over the counter, yes you have too talk too the pharmasist but it's confidential they wont tell your parents. It;s best taken within three days but isn't 100%

i am 6 weeks pregnant after taking the morning after pill. guess im meeting my baby a lil earlier than I have planned but thats okay! :)

I have heard that it wouldn't. You might want to search a little around or call your drug store and ask the pharmacy.

over here they actually show babys at 11 - 12 weeks that have been aborted and they are real, I know because it looked exactly the same as my 11 week old baby that i misscarried.

ok so i had unprotected sex and the doctor gave me 8 moring after pills u take 4 and then in 12 hours u take 4 more knowing my boyfriend he said he didnt cum or bust what ever u wanna call it but i think that he did i only took 4 of the moring after pills does this mean that it will stop the egg and sprem or will i gwt pregnant and the baby will come out with problems i love my boyfriend but we are too young for babbies right now:'(

I just want to say to all these teenage girls in here worried about being pregnant, please remember it is your body and your body alone! I know you all love your boyfriends, get caught up in the act and things get out of hand, but if your not using protection it is you that will be pregnant, you will be the one who has to decide rather to go through the pain of an abortion or the long and crippling 9 months followed by hours of undescribable labor. The fact is you will more than likely face this pain and suffering alone, how many teenage mothers have a happy successful relationship with the babys father? Not many even though almost every teen mother was told by the father "I love you, ill never leave you" well thats what they all say to get you in bed. Please dont expect these guys to be the ones to stop and put a condom on themselves, because they are not worried about getting pregnant. Girls if your sexually active or planning on having sex with your boyfriend you should carry a condom at all times and you need to say hey please put this on before we start. Yea it may be embarrassing to stop in the middle of foreplay but i promise its not as embarrassing as everyone finding out your pregnant, had an abortion or ending up going to school in maternity clothes. Esp if your baby daddy decides hes not crazy for your new wait gain and you have to pass him in the halls with leaking breast while hes making out with his new girlfriend. Please girls take care of yourselves.
