Coming into this I was hoping for more of a Grinch experience, but all in all it was an enjoyable movie...right up a nine-year-old boys alley. Mike Myers had an unnerving Cowardly Lion style and some parts made me think that I might have wandered into the Matrix by accident, but other than that it was a  .
From a non-mom non-kid Mike Myers mega-fan's POV, I loved it. Lots of good laughs, lots of kid fun (although a few lines were definitely a little shocking considering the audience...) Parts reminded me of 'Edward Scissorhands' and other parts a little 'Beetlejuice'. There were a lot of bits borrowed from/inspired by other Myers stuff but I still liked it. Several little elements from Myers' personal life as well that I enjoyed (and probably only someone who taped his "Inside the Actors studio" would notice ) I love the little girl (who's name currently escapes me) in this who was also in "I am Sam". She's a terrific actress. I give it a  I'd even see it again.

We took the kids to see it today, and we all thought it was great. Yes there is some adult specific humor but overall I though it was a very entertaining way to spend an afternoon. Mike Meyers did a great job as the CITH.
