Hi there! Can anybody tell me pros and cons in usage of oxycodone and msir. Which one is supposed to be better in reviling pain? Thx!

Hi there! I haven’t tries msir but I can tell you that oxycodone is doing me real good. But you should talk with your doctor, I think these two medicines don’t belong to the same group, msir is a morphine and even though oxycodone and morphine are similar there are maybe some difference.

Hope this helps. I have been on pain medication for the past 5-6 years and I believe I have tried them all. I have taken the MSIR 15 mg and got absolutely NO relief. I was then switched to Oxycodone 15 mg and so far things are great. I am only using this for breakthrough pain. I am also taking Oxycotin 40 mg. I am sure everyone is different. But knowing that the Oxycontin works for me and I am only trying to relieve the breakthrogh the Oxycodone it taking care of it. The MSIR is morphine and I have never gotten relief with that, even when I was younger and had surgery. Good luck in the futher and believe me if you ask GOD to help you cope He will do a great job.
