Mucus substance from a rectum, I can only do a bowel movement with a help of laxative

I have problem passing my bowels and can only f2fdo so with the aid of a laxative or suppository. I notice if l used the prescribed laxative lactolose l usually have the run so l prefer the latter. But l notice that when l use the suppository after the bowel movement moment and sometime hours later l pass a clear yellowish mucus. I take iron pills so now it's more of a clear greenish substance. This only happens at those time. I do use them every 3 to 4 days otherwise l will not pass my bowels at all.. l have had numerous colonoscopy and they all are fine. Can anyone tell me should l be concern and contact my G.I. dr.
