my daughter too has been like this(10years old) - doctors couldn't help- saw a nutritionist- put her on heavy probiotics to adjust her stomach - also aloe juice, slippery elm, and even apple cider vinegar in water can help with the acid imbalance. Main problem is the gut flora- have to get that resolved and slowly seeing improvements

Hi! If you haven't already, try having her gut flora tested. That bug may have thrown her out of whack. Wonder if her dr. gave her antibiotics around that time... could have killed off good bacterias too, so PROBIOTICS may help (make sure good brand with actual LIVE STRAINS, as so many out there are not). My sons had no results with those bands either, and we bought the cheap to the electronic expensive= nothing! Very frustrating, I know. Maybe cut out sugar and fruit juice also as that just feeds any bad bacterias and yeast, etc. that could be causing her nausea. Hope some help here.... my son's dealing with this for over 2 yrs. Good luck! Keep checking this site... this is a pretty big group of families dealing with similar issues.

What about your gallbladder? Hasort your dr checked for gallstones? I use to get such bad pain like a rubber band around my abdomen and would get so nauseous. Had my first painful gallbladder attack when I was 10 years old but they never checked it because they said I was too young to have problems with it.

Hi! I'm having these issues with my 4yr old daughter. We have been in the ER several times and have seen 12 doctors this month since the problems began. We started with strep and all was better everything else cleared but her nausea. She is pale, won't eat, lost 5lbs. We have been to 3 pediatricians and nobody can figure it out. I'm desperate for answers please any avenues to pursue? Her story is extremely similar to yours!

I would seriously consider consider POTS syndrome and have a static gravity test done - testing pulse and blood pressure laying down vs. standing up. We found that the only thing that brought our daughter out of the hole was a strenuous and regimented daily exercise routine...trains the heart rate to stay consistent and releases the proper chemicals to get things balanced out again.

My daughter is 10 and has had nausea for 2 months. Missed tons of school, been to doctors, just like all of these other posts. I'm finding it really interesting that so many of the kids are right around the same age. For any of you that posted a while ago, did it go away on it'sa own or was there a diagnosis? We have done blood work, ultrasounds, and are meeting with the pediatric GI specialist at primary children's this week. It is so hard to see your child suffer and not know how to fix it.

I have had the same thing with my daughter her entire life. First it was hard stool as a baby up until a few years ago and the nausea started as early as she could talk. She's had every test imaginable, ultra sound, Gastro doctor. I personally believe that there is some kind of allergy or intolerance to something that the medical field have yet to discover. I just wish I knew what it was. My best advice is to start a good journal to pin point the exact food. Easier said than done, I know since I have yet to complete it myself. But I'm trying good luck.

Did you find any answers when you went to the GI doctor? My daughter is 10 and has been dealing with this for 2 years. For awhile I believed it was due to anxiety but I know that's not true now. She was overweight when younger and lost 35lbs the past year 1/2. I have watched her go from happy to sick in minutes. We have had blood tests, 2 GI doctors 1 scope, a therapist, acid reflux meds and nothing. It seems she can't eat anything because she feels sick. She gets sick and then she just sleeps. It has been hard for her to verbalize what is happening because it started when she was younger. We are heading back to the doctor to request an allergy test this week.

Did you ever get a response from the doctors?  My 10yr old daughter has been sick for 2yrs and no relief yet.  Her doctor prescribed acid reflux meds but she has no relief. She takes lactaid pills and no luck. We are heading back this week to request an allergy test.

I too am having this trouble with my 11 year old daughter. She had terrible food poisoning in early October and was sicker than I had ever seen her, vomiting and diarrhea. She has not physically vomited since then but has been nauseous and feels sick ever since. She cries, has missed some school and is generally not herself, now for 2 months. Her stool test was negative. I have tried probiotic as well. Any other suggestions on what tests or what we should try? She is not a complainer so to see her like this is just heartbreaking.

So glad to hear your daughter is better. My daughter is going through the same. She's 11 and feels constantly sick and tired. So far she has missed 6 weeks of school. She's had so many blood tests which have all come back negative. The doctor and private peditrician have diagnosed her with pvf. As a mother I feel completely helpless and frustrated. It's heartbreaking to see. Looks like we have a long slow journey ahead of us.....

You’re probably not on this thread anymore but I thought I’d give it a shot. My 12 year old son is nauseous every single day for the last year and a half and has lost so much weight. We have him in therapy for anxiety because that seems to be what this is all pointing too but i just can’t help to think something else is going on and it all started after he came down with mono! Hence, I am now extremely curious about POTS and will be calling the cardiologist first thing tomorrow morning!
