Checking for POTS is a great idea. But don’t be surprised if they rule that out!

You're right--I too am super interested in the fact that this is a large number of 9 & 10 year old girls. My 10 year old daughter has been having the same constant daily nausea for a month now following a stomach bug. Taking her to the doctor this week. This forum is helpful backup for "it's not all in her head"... Thank you everyone.

Yes! EXACTLY the same thing with my 10 year old daughter! This has been happening for a month following something that seemed to be food poisoning or a bad stomach virus. How is your daughter now? Did another month help the issue?

Keep us posted on what you find...my daughter is 14 now and shows no signs of POTS...however she has stayed extremely active in sports - a go-getter in basketball, dirt biking, snowmobiling, hiking, etc. - - so I think that is a big key is to continue that lifestyle otherwise symptoms could possibly come back. When she gets sick we still all hold our breath until she’s recovered...sometimes takes her a bit longer than others, but seems to bounce back fine now and live a normal/healthy teen lifestyle :)

Hi there, my daughter is diagnosed coealic but has been gluten free for years now and sick for years. I am at my wits end, she is particulary bad at the moment and has not been able to keep anything down for nearly three weeks now. I have been to the doctors over and over and they don't seem to be listening, we have a paediatric appointment in four weeks time and they said i will have to discuss it then but its ridiculous that they will let her carry on like this! She has headaches, stomach ache, dizzy spells and constant nausea, I have only scanned these threads but am i right in thinking all you did was increase exercise and this is what made your little one better?

I have heard really bad things about Miralax even tho our Pediatrician recommended it every day for our little girl who is now 9. It is almost the eq of antifreeze. I would suggest stopping that. Your girl seems to have an equilibrium/motion issue, but I am not a medical expert of any kind. I am sorry for this problem. Our girl has currently been nauseated with “a weird feeling in her throat” for 5 days, which is why I am here now. She is terrified to lie down in bed for fear she will vomit. Idk what to do about this either.

Hello all: My 10 yr old daughter is going through this exact same thing! She has had multiple blood tests, a stomach x-ray, stool sample test & still no answers! She is now on zantac 2x a day, singular 1x, gas pill 2x, probiotic 2x & still no relief at all! We've been to her regular Dr & also to a pediatric gastroenterologist and no one has any answers or really seems that interested in getting to the bottom of this. She's maintaining her weight, going to the bathroom regularly & not screaming in pain 24/7 so who cares, right?? UGH!! Has anyone gotten ANY answers? PLEASE let me know if you have! Thanks!!

Yup, my 10 year old daughter has been c/o nausea off and on daily for weeks now, worse at night. She is eating less overall because of it. I have been wondering if it is at all related to hormones. She is going through the early stages of puberty (normal at this age), sooooo...estrogen surge?? Just a thought...

My daughter is the exact same!! It is subsiding after a month but still there. She has had every test possible!!! It’s like she feels better if she barfs, poops, or burps! They checked her for H pylori but it was negative as well. They keep saying it’s gastric! Hope your daughter gets well soon!

My 9 year old daughter has this exact thing also, started 2 weeks ago after a return from mexico. Random nausea, lots of tears, some diarrhea. She is struggling to go to school. She has blood, stool & urine tests with no results like anyone else. I've read through most of the comments ni this feed, but seems no one has had any solutions for the nausea:(
