My cat is 10 years young. She has always been a llittle chubby but all of a sudden within 3 months she went from 16 pounds to 6 pounds. She was not eating so after not eating for a day, the second day I bought her to the vet. After a day I went to visit and she looked like a new cat. She was very alert and looked great, but they had to force feed her. She was fussy all the time at home too, if someone walked in the room she would leave her food. So I used to bring her food to her room and close the door. I thought for sure that she would eat, if I could take her home. The vet told me she has diabetes and as soon as they figure out the amount of insulin to give her, she can come home and I would give her the shot every day. All of a sudden (after being there for 5 days) she took a turn for the worse. The vet told me she was throwing up blood and he thinkis she has pancreatitis. I visit her every single night but last night she looked really sad. Please someone help me figure this out. I think she will eat if I bring her home. Maybe she is homesick? PLEASE tell me if anyone has had a similar situation and what was the best treatment??????
