My son is 9 months old and since birth he had a large facial hemangioma! Well, I did not know what that was until the doctor explained that to us. Anyway he also said that it should be left alone, because it should reduce on its own in time, although it might be years before that happens. Can anything be done before?
There are many discussions related to this topic. Many doctors do say that hemangioma is something that is not necessary to be treated, but there are some who say that aggressive approach is the best although there are no definite and 100% safe removal treatments. Some use hormonal therapies as the latest thing in trying to deal with hemangioma.
