Hi I just had mine done in Miami 2 days ago.
I looked back there today and I was horrified. I hope it looks normal soon. My insurance paid for it but I know of a doctor on the beach who charges about $275 for consult and $450 for the procedure.

I used Dr. Elie Schochet in Fort Lauderdale for my THD surgery. IMO the results were miraculous. Don't know about the anal tag surgery, but it may be worth the trip to have a consultation with him. Good luck.

Hi,
I had this surgery 6 days ago now. Not feeling too bad in my self, bowel movements are uncomfortable and a bit stingy. But keeping my fiber and water intake up. I wondered how long it took everyone to get back to completely normal? Thanks

I've just been reading the comments on this after having anal skin tag removal and banding of 3 hemorrhoids exactly 4 weeks ago, i too was very worried about the hemorrhoid looking thing in between the area and was worried that this was another hemorrhoid which was worse than the original skin tag i had. i've suffered a lot with itching and soreness to the area and also a bout of thrush due to excessive washing of the area however, exactly 4 weeks post surgery, it seems that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. the lump has almost disappeared, the area is still a little sore but is looking fairly normal again.

To those that are worried about the lump, from my experience this will go down, i almost have a normal looking back passage now so i'm hopeful that this will be resolved soon!

Hi,

I had a tag removed 4 weeks ago today with no stitches. Went back to dr a week later due to feeling a lump back there which he said was swelling. I still have this lump and am worried it is a new tag. Seeing my dr next week but I am freaking out that this was all a waste of time and money!

Did anyone else experience anything else like this??

Hello I'm a young female in my early 30's and I am having the same issue with the healing where it is looking worse... It has only been a week... do I need to give it more time? How did yours end up healing? Did you have to go back a second time?

Hi there, I had surgery to remove 1 large and 1 small anal skin tag a week ago. I think an internal hemarroid was removed too. Still experiencing excruciating pain during bowel movements and there is some seepage. Im so worried. Did you experience any of this and if so how long was it before you felt 'normal' again?
