For the past five years my penis has been getting more and more numb, till the present, when I can barely have an erection. I barely even masturbate because of loss of desire, but also because it's like touching a hose. It began when I read the Multi Orgasmic Man and messed around with the PC muscle. Is there anything I can do to cure this? Doctors don't listen to me. They say my prostate's fine and there's no constriction, so there should be no problem. But there obviously is.

Just to reply to the last post, these forums are not manned by professionals.

For the first post, unfortunately I can't help you. I would suggest maybe seeing a different doctor and explaining all the problems, it might not be something to do with your prostate.

I have had this problem for the last 15 years ever since I was diagnosed with prostantitis never had this problem before diagnosis, unfortunately most doctors won't take you seriously and will probably send you to see a psychiatrist. I think there just pure lazy and unwilling to think out side of the box. When they could really be trying to figure out what the problem really is. It is my theory that my swollen prostate has caused my anus to tighten and to become numb, and I think there some nerve in my anul region that is being compressed which is causing my penis to be numb, and another intriguing thing that happened after Prostantitis diagnosis is, all my life I had IBS, I no longer have problems with IBS no sensitive stomach, I now have an iron clad stomach. I can eat anything without getting bloated and sick that would usually make me run to the restroom. Well I hope this might give you some insight on this problem, if you find a solution please post it I would love to talk to the doctor that could solve this problem.

I have very similar issues and I have seen 3 doctors and they all gave me a different diagnosis. Right now, I feel like the guy in the Zoolander movie. "Come on.... just one drop". It is a chore to pee, starts, stops and dribbles, sounds like a good name for a game show. My Penis is numb but I do believe this started when I was constipated for 10 days and my rectum or colon is putting pressure on my prostate or on perhaps a nerve. I have had every blood test and Urine test and everything is normal. I would like to know if this is a nerve issue. Anyone know if this could be the case or any suggestions?

I have had this for 3 years, since 20th January 2006. I am now 20 years old and circumcised when I was 3-4 years old due to tight foreskin.

The part of my penis that has been more seriously affected was the shaft, obviously, since it wasn't the most sensitive part to begin with. The glans is now at the same sensitivity level at which the shaft was. So I have 0% sensitivity in shaft and 50% in glans.

I can still feel pain and temperature differences, but no pleasure. It feels like I have a thick cloth around the shaft of the penis it's frustrating.

I've went to a neurologist and urologist 3 years ago, but they didn't do much. The neurologist only did simple sensory tests with some object and of course I felt them as I said I can still feel pain and temperature. I did an X-Ray of my coccyx to see if I had cauda equina, but I was fine.

With the urologist he told me to do an ultrasound for varicocele. Nothing as well. The doctor who made the varicocele analysis told me it was all in my head. Yeah right, it's been in my head for 3 years even though there have been periods I've almost forgotten I have this problem?

I had to remove a big blood clot near the sacrum area 5 years ago that seemed to develop after I fell on my back. The complete healing took almost a year. I wonder if the new tissue that formed has somehow grown enough to press a nerve that leads to the penis...

Should I ask a doctor to order a MRI on my whole pelvic area?

Thanks

I have a similar problem but I am diabetic and I believe I had it all my life. My symptoms began around 1985 at the age of forty. I thought it was because my wife was having an affair with someone who was larger than me. She thought I was having difficulty because I was fooling around. The problem was diabetic neuropathy. This process can take years before you even notice it. After another ten years I could no longer have sex because the condition also caused erectile dysfunction. Finally in 2005 I was tested for diabetes and told I had diabetes. I also had a high psa and was tested for peostate cancer. It was BPH. The Urologist said it was probably enlarged because I wasn't sexually active. I wondered how he knew that but I admit it is true. I haven't had sex in about eight years. I don't know if you have the same problem but I think you should get tested for diabetes. It could be diabetic neuropathy

To the previous poster: thanks for posting about your experience with ED because there are a lot of issues with erectile dysfunction but there are multiple reasons for it. A lot of people are not aware that diabetes is an actual cause so I am glad that you pointed it out so that others can get help. Thanks for your informative post!

Has anyone ever found a remedy to these problems? I've seen a lot of complaints about similar symptoms, but not one solution. If anyone has ever managed to get their sensitivity back, I would really like to know. It's been going on for two years and is beginning to feel hopeless.

For the past 7 months I too have had the same issue with loss of feeling in the penis, week erections with difficulty keeping it up. I no longer get morning erections. Last year before this problem I was taking Viagra to get extra hard. It work but I think I may have done some penile nerve damage from a month of intense sex and over masturbation. That's when i started feeling numb.

Has anyone been able to fix the problem if it is nerve damage? If so, how?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone talked to a Urologist about these issues. I didn't read all of the posts. So if someone mentioned this, disregard. Lol. A regular family doctor is not as well versed in all of the particular problems that may occur in the male reproductive organs and urinary tract. That's why you'll get three different answers from three different doctors. Try seeing a Urologist if you have not. They specialize in this sort of thing. Good luck and I hope you all find out exactly what is going on.
