I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had their gallbladder taken out as part of the NOTES (Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery) clinical trial? I will be having my gallbladder removed through my vaginal wall on April 8th at Northwestern Memorial in Chicago with Dr. Eric Hungness. The trial has other participating hospitals nationwide, and is a success so far. I will be the 15th patient in Chicago to have the vaginal removal done.

I will have one incision inside my belly button...no other incisions in my skin. 

Has anyone had a similar procedure done, and if so, how did it go for you? They are also doing removals through the mouth in a similar fashion to the vaginal procedure.
