So months back, I had a lot of daily light-headedness, brain fog, monthly migraines with aura, sore adrenal glands/lymph nodes, etc. and I had come across this thread. This thread saved me because it gave me a really good set of clues that it was probably wisdom-teeth related. The major light-headedness came around when my wisdom teeth were infected as well, so I decided to get them out a few weeks later. The bottom two were badly impacted for 5 years without issue until that point in time. Both the OMFS and my 2-3 GPs said it couldn't be the wisdom teeth. It's been about 5-6 months since I got them out and I've had no more light-headedness, brain fog or any of the issues. Not all the migraines are gone (couldn't say for sure because i recently gave myself a concussion...long story), but the monthly/biweekly migraine frequency went down a lot.

So for anyone with impacted wisdom teeth and feeling terrible with light-headedness, anxiety, irritability, brain fog, issues focusing, fatigue, etc., I'll be another data point to say that taking them out may significantly help. Good luck to all of you!

Thanks somuch for sharing your experience. Having the same issues right now and scheduled to get wisdom teeth removed shortly. This has been the most dibilitating experience of my life. Started with vertigo and after that has resulted in continuing overbearing dizziness, anxiety, and stress. I just feel ignorant for not taking care of the issue years ago. Meesage learned dont ignore your teeth. It can destroy your life. Vestibular neuritis cased by the leaking of bacteria into the inner ear area from bad teeth. Praying no permanent damage done to nerves in the inner ear.

Hi I’m sitting here feeling relieved that I’m not the only one. I’m 27 year old female. I’ve been feeling light headed 24/7 and dizzy fir the last 2 weeks. During the day I can function even though the symptoms are still there but it’s when I get back from work and sit on the sofa I feel like that’s when the anxiety and ligh headedness kicks in. I’m getting worried that this won’t go away but could someone tell me how they overcame there symptoms? I have a upper right wisdom tooth which is growing. I’m not even sure it’s impacted- it doesn’t look like it is.

Went to dentist today, I have 4 impacted wisdom teeth...I also have MS, but according to my neurologist the symptoms I've been presenting lately ARE NOT related to my MS...however my dentist also said the symptoms of vertigo etc. aren't related to wisdom teeth, but according to everything I've read here either she's wrong or everybody on this forum is wrong? (_)

I think it's my wisdoms...

This is so good to hear. I've had a foggy head sensation, ear pain, anxiety and fatigue for 9 months now. Seen countless docs, 2 x ents
And 2 x dentists. I have 2 wisdom teeth that have never come through but the dentist assures me they won't be causing this issue. After reading your story I'm definitely getting my top right wisdom out as that is the side I'm getting ear ache aswell

Hi everyone!
Wow, this blog is old, but here am I having the same problem! Started out as weird dizziness/lightheadedness last year in July, at first I did not pay too much attention to it. After a month, I had a panic attack because of a sudden feeling of losing balance ... ever since that, I had depression, anxiety and panic attacks often ... along with dizziness. I have been to many doctors, done many tests and everything came back fine, so I was sent to a psychologist because they think I have some kind of mental problem...

Well, 2 of my wisdom teeth are impacted, since last year summer. I can often feel like my mouth is full of bacteria, it hurts, and my gums are like double sized. Reading this blog is such a reveal. I feel this weird feeling of losing balance whenever I stay still. Sometimes I also feel like I'm moving when I'm not, and I even see things move a little when I'm not and its terrible. I really hope that this is all caused by my teeth ... well obviously anxiety makes it ALL WORSE. But Im gonna go see a dentist very soon now.

I am turning 26 soon and I just noticed I had wisdom teeth after a week of feeling sick. I started out with a simple headache to a migrane to tension headaches to being dizzy like vertigo to temples hurt on both side and every other day either right or left eye feels swollen. Aside from all of that happening; insomnia has been thr worst. I WAS completely normal last week. I think the worst part was not being able to sleep. Ive never had this problem before. I finally get my teetg checked tomorrow but I hipe this helps other people because it sucks. I know I have wisdom teeth because I can see them coming out of my gums followed by mouth discomfort. My biggest question for anyone currently going through this....have you had insomnia as well? Question for anyone before their wisdom teeth have been taken out.
Have you felt uncomfortable with your eyes?

Thank you so much and I hope whoever is going through this a speedy recovery. It sucks!!!

Just as an update for those who asked and some questions I read since my post:
- Haven't had a single episode of light-headedness since getting the teeth out, nor brain fog or daily swollen lymph nodes (10 months ago). Highly recommend if you're around my age (25) or even just in your 20's with impacted wisdom teeth, get them out. It's not worth keeping those teeth when they can really mess you up like this.
- After having them out, it may take a month or two to return to normal. The first few days you'll feel terrible since you're healing. You might get fever from any small infections at the site (make sure to clean the extraction sites properly) and rest. This will take some time, so be patient and try to stay calm.
- If you were/are stressed, this will slow down the healing process. Getting the teeth removed should help a lot for the vertigo, light-headedness, diziness, etc, but if your work/life is very stressful, you could have other problems persisting. For me, sometimes at night, I clench my jaw and wake up with jaw pain and some headaches. In other words, getting the wisdom teeth out will help some of the direct symptoms, but some may be due to lifestyle and stress which you'll have to resolve separately.

Good luck everyone! Speedy recovery to all who go through with getting them removed. I hope it helps, and also, if any doctors or surgeons say it won't help, they could very well be wrong. My doctors and surgeon were dead wrong and I'm a lot better now :)
