I'm writing because i'm new to contacts, i've only had them for about 4 days now. When i first got them the girl told me that she gave me the wrong prescription for my right eye, but not enough to bother it. Is this true? Plus when i asked if they should bother my eyes, they said it will take a few days for my eyes to adjust to having the contacts in them. is there anyone that can help me with this? I would really like to wear the contacts because wearing glasses is not for me. Plus i get my first box in like 3 days, and if i can't wear them then i'm going to take them back, so before i open the new box, could someone tell me what is going on? I get burning itching, and kind of dry eyes, which i periodically put in eye drops. Thanks

In terms of the prescription of the lenses, that would not be affecting the burning itching feeling that you are getting. The only other thing that I can suggest is that you raise the comfort concern with the optometrist who tested you and ask them if there are any other lenses that they offer which would be more suitable (as I don't know which ones you currently use I can't really offer a suggestion). Things you are looking for are: good wetting, high oxygen permeability (High Dk) and in your case (which sounds like evaporative issues) a lenses which isn't too thin as thinner lenses lose fluid more readily compared to slightly thicker counterparts.

How can I get used to wearing contacts? I'm fine once I have them in, but I have a hard time putting them on. How can I get used to putting them in?
